E-Ticket Terms & Conditions
  • The BusIndia provides only the facility for transacting with BusIndia?s STU Partner?s Passenger Reservation System through the Internet. BusIndia?s rules for reservation and booking apply to all such transaction along with special conditions imposed for Internet based booking. The special conditions and terms of service applicable to Internet booking are detailed in this document.
  • The following terms and conditions will apply if you wish to use the BusIndia?s online ticket booking service offered through the BusIndia website. Please go through the conditions carefully and if you accept them, you may register and transact on the site, you are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions set? forth below. If you do not agree with these terms and condition, you must not transact on this Website. Once you have clicked the ?Agree? button at the bottom of Terms and Conditions at login page, you have entered into a formal agreement with BusIndia for the purpose of transactions on this website.
  • If a user violates the terms and conditions of use by registering more than one user ID and /or booking tickets on such multiple user IDs, BusIndia reserves the right to deactivate all such user registration and cancel any or all tickets booked using these registrations without any notice.
  • BusIndia?s performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal processes of Government of India and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of BusIndia?s right to comply with law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this Web Site or information provided to or gathered by BusIndia with respect to such use. You agree that BusIndia may provide details of your use of the Web Site to regulators or police or to any other third party, or in order to resolve disputes or complaints which relate to the Web Site, at BusIndia?s complete discretion.
  • If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth herein, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect.
  • This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the customer and BusIndia with respect to this Web Site and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between the customer and BusIndia with respect to this Web Site. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.
User Profile Associated with this Account

On line Booking (Internet Booking) will enable the passenger to book the seats and cancel the ticket even from remote places where BusIndia?s Partner Road Transport Corporation counters or franchisees are not available. The procedure and guidelines for Internet booking (called, On-line booking) are detailed as below:

  1. Booking can be made by registered user through the Internet. Registered User will be given username and password after filling an E-form on the Internet by giving his personal details.
  2. Tickets can be booked during designated hours of the day. Payments for tickets booked will have to be made through Credit card / Internet Banking.
  3. Passenger booking the ticket will have to login to BusIndia website and proceed through the link provided for Advance Booking. The passenger will select the seats in a service of his choice based on the availability.
  4. During the booking process, the passenger will have to select Identity Type and submit ID No. for confirming his identity during the journey. He can select from any of the Photo Identity Cards i.e. Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card (passenger's).
  5. Before confirming the booking, the passenger will have to provide payment details like 'Credit Card / Internet Banking' for accepting payment by the Payment gateway. The booking will be confirmed after the financial gateway approves the transaction. At this stage, a PNR No. will be generated for that ticket and passenger can print the e-Ticket. 'e-tickets' will be printed on plain paper (A4 size) for acknowledgement and it will be valid for journey.
  6. Alternatively, the passenger will have the option of getting the ?e-Ticket? printed at any other place where he has Internet connectivity and printing facility. He can print the ?e-Ticket?, by logging on through his User ID from ?My Itineraries? of login page.
  7. If the passenger is travelling with "e-Ticket", he will have to possess the Original Identity Card mentioned in the "e-Ticket" during the journey.
  8. The on-duty Conductor (or Driver-cum-Conductor) will verify the Identity Card of the passenger as per the waybill and "e-Ticket" during the journey. If the passenger fails to produce the specified Identity Proof in original during the journey, the ticket will be treated as INVALID and the passenger will be treated as "Travelling without Ticket". Photocopies of Identity proof are not allowed.
  9. Partial cancellations are not allowed in respect of e-tickets.
  10. Tickets booked on Internet will be allowed for cancellation before one hour of the schedule departure. For registered users, cancellation is allowed on-line only if they login with the same user ID used for booking the ticket, which is to be cancelled. In respect of cancellations, refunds applicable will be made to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account only.
  11. Cancellation of e-tickets is only allowed one hour before the schedule departure of the Service.
  12. If the service is cancelled by BusIndia (or other STUs) for operational reasons, refund applicable will be made to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account only.
  13. If a passenger has lost the "e-Ticket", copy of the same can be printed by logging on to "My Itineraries? module through his User ID. No charges will be applicable.
  14. All transactions made by the user through on-line booking will be available in "My Itineraries ". This will be for the reference of the passenger and subsequent verification of transactions made on the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account.
  15. All transactions on Internet are subject to the conditions stipulated by the Financial Gateway and subject to levy of charges, if any. The BusIndia will levy a service charge on the fare applicable for each seat in addition to the fare payable.
  16. Users are advised to print e-tickets immediately after booking so as to minimize inconvenience during instances of temporary withdrawal of e-booking due to high traffic on website.
  17. Bookings for concessional pass holders like Physically Handicapped Persons, Senior Citizens, Police Warrants, Family Pass to BusIndia employees, Duty Passes to BusIndia employees, Freedom Tickets etc. are not allowed on Internet.
Refund Procedure:

In respect of tickets cancelled by the passenger, BusIndia will refund the amount applicable to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account by BusIndia.

  1. In respect of refunds due to ticket not booked but amount debited to passenger's account, passenger is required to send an e-mail to helpdesk@busindia.com mentioning USERID and OB reference no. of the transaction. Officials of BusIndia will verify the details and refund the amount to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account.
  2. In respect of refunds due to cancellation of service by BusIndia, passenger is required to send an e-mail to helpdesk@busindia.com mentioning USERID of the passenger, OB reference no. of the transaction and PNR No. of the ticket. Officials of BusIndia will verify and refund the amount to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account.
  3. In respect of refunds for any other reasons, passenger is required to send an e-mail to helpdesk@busindia.com furnishing user ID of the passenger, OB reference no. of the transaction and PNR No. of the ticket mentioning reasons for such refund. Such requests will be considered only if received before the departure time of the service. Officials of BusIndia will examine the details and take appropriate action under intimation to the passenger.
  4. Refunds for Ticket cancellations / Failed Transactions to passengers will be given normally in 7 Bank working days by BusIndia, after the cancellation of ticket or receipt of e-mail. If refunds are delayed, passengers may contact BusIndia officials at Toll free number: 9513508001 (24/7)
  5. Partial cancellation is not available for KSRTC, TNSTC & SETC, GSRTC, OSRTC Tickets booked through Busindia.com.
  6. Passengers have to board Bus from the pickup point printed on the ticket.
  7. The departure time mentioned on the e-ticket is only tentative. Buses may be delayed due to some unavoidable reasons like traffic jams, breakdown, etc. However, the bus will not leave the bus stand/pickup point before the departure time mentioned on the e-ticket.
  8. Maximum of Five (5) passengers can book seats in a single ticket.
  9. 3 transactions will be allowed per day in e-ticketing, on a Single credit card/debit card etc.
Postponement / preponement:

No postponement / preponement of the journey is allowed in e-ticketing.

SMS Terms and Conditions:
  1. Short Messaging Service (SMS Service) offered by BUSINDIA is an additional facility to Passengers and also it is not mandatory service.
  2. SMS will be sent only to the mobile number you have registered/given during the advanced booking.
  3. The time to deliver the SMS is dependent upon the traffic on the mobile network and whether your mobile phone is within reach and switched on and cannot therefore be guaranteed by BUSINDIA.
  4. BUSINDIA is not liable for any delay or failures in the receipts of any SMS sent to reserved passengers in connection with their travel.
  5. Delivery of SMS (e-ticket, m-ticket, API-ticket, Journey bill alerts, service alerts etc.) depends on mobile service provider of the user and BUSINDIA is not responsible for its delivery.
  6. SMS Service such as e-ticket, m-ticket, API-ticket, Journey bill alerts etc., may be discontinued at any time without prior notice.
  7. SMS Service is provided with no warranties, express or implied. BUSINDIA is not responsible or liable or otherwise have any obligation to you for any loss, damage or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to non-receipt of the SMS for any reasons whatsoever. In no event shall BUSINDIA be liable for any indirect or consequential damages.
  8. By accepting the Terms and Conditions, you specifically acknowledge and agree to the aforesaid terms and conditions.
Busindia (CIRT) is an authorised agent for booking TNSTC bus tickets.

Child fare criteria:
  • Half ticket for children 5 yrs above but below 12 yrs.
  • Children above 130cms Height will be charged full fare, otherwise original age proof certificate to be produced at the time journey.
Reservation Rules:
  • The Lay out of the vehicle may be varied due to some unavoidable circumstances. How ever, the selected seat numbers will not be changed.
  • e-Ticket and Mobile Ticket Passengers must carry a printed/Soft copy of the ticket at the time of journey. It is passengers responsibility to keep the Printout/Softcopy of the ticket till end of the journey.
  • If the passenger is traveling with 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket', he will have to produce the Original Identity Card mentioned in the 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket ' at the time of journey.
  • Departure time, Running time and Arrival time mentioned in the website is subject to standard operating condition. These timings may get varied due to Road block, Traffic condition, Natural calamity and unavoidable circumstances.
  • The Bus/Seat No. May be subject to change due to curtailment/clubbing of other services and unavoidable circumstances.
  • The on-duty Conductor or TNSTC officials will verify the Identity Card of the passenger as per the waybill and 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket' during the journey. If the passenger fails to produce the specified Identity Proof in original during the journey, the ticket will be treated as INVALID and the passenger will be treated as "Travelling without Ticket". Photocopies of Identity proof are not allowed.

Group Discount:
Group Booking Discount - 10% Discount on basic fare is allowed when 10 or more seats are booked as a group in a single ticket.
* Group discount is not applicable on Festival and Auspicious Travel Days.
* In case of partial cancellations, if number of passengers after cancellations reduces to less than 10, group discount for all seats will be withdrawn.

Differently abled persons and their Escorts:
Differently abled persons have to mention their valid ID card (issued by Govt.,) details while making Online Ticket Reservation. At the time of boarding the vehicle, a photocopy of the disablity Certificate has to be handed over to the Conductor and also the Original Certificate has to be carried by the Differently Abled person and shown to the Conductor. If any Escort is accompanying with the Differently abled person, the ID proof of such escort has also to be produced to the conductor.
* Differently Abled Concession is only Applicable within Tamilnadu State Travel.

Senior Citizens:
At the time of boarding the vehicle, photocopy of the Age Proof ID has to be handed over to the Conductor and also have to produce Original Age Proof ID Cards like PAN card, Voter's ID, Driving license, Passport, Ration card, etc.
* Any one discount or concession will only be given to eligible passengers who make a reservation.

Cancellation Fee Slabs:
Before 48 hours of the schedule time of departure of the bus from the origin point. 10 % deduction of fare
Between 24 Hrs and 48 Hrs of the schedule time of departure of the bus from the origin point. 20 % deduction of fare
Between 60 minutes and 24 Hrs of the schedule time of departure of the bus from the origin point. 25 % deduction of fare
*Reservation Fee and other applicable charges will not be refunded under any circumstances.
"Cancellation of e-ticket / Mobile tickets is allowed only up to One (1) hour before the scheduled departure of the bus service from the Origin Point. After that cancellation will not be allowed".
Further, cancellation can be done only before 9 PM for the current date journey after 10 PM and next day journey before 7 AM.
In case of any service was cancelled by TNSTC's due to unavoidable circumstances and no alternate service was operated in place of the Cancelled services, then the passengers reserved in that particular service can get the refund (after deducting applicable service fee) by sending a refund claim letter to the following address, along with original Journey Tickets within 25 (Twenty five) days from the date of journey and no claim will be entertained thereafter.

Passengers will have to pay the difference amount at boarding time in case of fare/ levies / taxes revision as and when applicable. The difference amount will be calculated on charged fare and new fare/ new levy/ revised tax.


No cancellation will be allowed after departure of bus from original place.
Refund will not be given in case of any mistake by user during the ticket booking.
  • SMS based travelling is allowed. A valid e-ticket on electronic medium - mobile phone, laptop, tablets, etc is accepted along with a valid photo id of the authorized user.
  • If you could not produce ticket / ID or if you are not travelled no refund will be given in such cases.
  • Cancellation charges would be calculated on the basis of UPSRTC Business Rules shall apply. Further, bank charges &/or convenience charges shall also apply as per concerned PG / Bank rules.
  • Refund of fare in case of change in Cancellation of Bus service, break down of bus service, For claim of refund, passengers have to submit e-ticket printout to the Depot Manager of respective UPSRTC Depot.  Depot Manager will initiate the refund process.  In case of non receipt, passenger may write a mail to online.support@upsrtc.com  & helpdesk@busindia.com mentioning Transaction ID and PNR number. Convenience charges, on Total FARE will be levied for Cancellation of Bus service, break down of bus service and shall be refunded to the customer.
  • Once the e-ticket is booked, it can?t be altered or changed.
  • No child fare.

Printout copy of E-ticket and M-ticket is to be carried compulsory at the time of journey.
  • e-Tickets can be booked up to 4 hours prior to departure time of the bus from originating station of the route.
  • Passengers who fail to Board the Bus at the Source Station mentioned in the e-Ticket have no right to claim refunds in such cases.
  • Child Fare will be applicable if the child age less than 11 years.
  • Child fare is not applicable for VOLVO AC Buses (HIMSUTA(VOL/ISU) and HIMGAURAV(TATA-AC))Child cannot be travelled as a main passenger.
  • Concession will be applicable for only one seat in a ticket.
  • SENIOR CITIZEN SMART CARD will be applicable only if passenger age is 59 years and above.
  • The arrival and departure of the bus will depend upon the condition of roads, weather and the natural calamity.
NOTE: HRTC has full rights to change Bus fares/ cancellation rules any time Depending on the Rules and Regulations.
Cancellation Terms and conditions
  • An amount of 10% of fare will be deducted in case the cancellation of e-tickets is up to 12 hours prior to the departure time of the bus (from originating station of the route).
  • An amount of 25% of fare will be deducted in case the cancellation of e-tickets is with in 4 to 12 hours prior to the departure time of the bus (from originating station of the route). After this no cancellation is allowed.
  • The e-Tickets can only be cancelled by the User himself up to 4 hours prior to the Departure Time of the bus (from the originating station of the route) by logging in to his/her account and then clicking on Cancellation link. e-Tickets cannot be cancelled at HRTC Counters.
  • The service charges are non-refundable in case of e-Tickets cancellation. No refund will be made in case of e-tickets after departure of bus (from the originating station of the route).
If the passenger is travelling with eTicket he has to furnish the Original ID Card during the journey. KTCL Tickets can be cancelled at Bus India subject to the following conditions.
  • Any cancellation at KTCL or KTCL agents is provided till the advance booking for that service is allowed.Refer the Cancellation norms.
  • KTCL ticket cancellation percentage of refund is based on the time of cancellation and departure time of the KTCL service.
  • If the KTCL service is cancelled for operational reasons, Full refund will be given to passengers. In case of non receipt, passenger may write a mail to operatorwebsiterefund@gmail.com & helpdesk@busindia.com mentioning Transaction ID and PNR number.
  • Once the e-ticket is booked, it can't be altered or changed.
  • Reservation Fee is refundable.

* Above mentioned cancellation policy may not match with the cancellation policy on the ticket issued while booking. This is just a tentative policy.
Reservation Rules
  • e-Ticket and Mobile Ticket Passengers must carry a Printed ticket at the time of journey.
  • If the passenger is traveling with 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket', he will have to produce the Original Identity Card mentioned in the 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket ' at the time of journey.
  • The reserved Journey tickets are not transferable and can not be preponed or postponed.
  • "In case of any service is cancelled by PRTC due to unavoidable circumstances and no alternate service is operated in place of the Cancelled services, then the passengers reserved in that particular service can get the refund by sending a refund claim mail to the Email id along with E-ticket copy to helpdesk@busindia.com and refund applicable will be made to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account only. For the service cancel case, full paid amount will be refunded excluding the payment gateway charges.
  • Users are advised to print e-Ticket / Mobile Tickets immediately after booking so as to minimize inconvenience during instances of temporary withdrawal of e-booking due to high traffic on website. The e-Ticket / Mobile Tickets will also be emailed to the email address provided by the user at the time of the booking.
  • In respect of refunds due to ticket not booked but amount debited to passenger's account, passengers are required to send refund request mail along with EMAIL ID/USER ID and Reference no. of the transaction. PRTC will verify the details and refund the amount to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account within 7 bank working days from the date of booking except Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays.
Cancellation Fee Slabs:
The Transaction Charges, Reservation Charges and payment gateway charges are not refundable.

Terms and Conditions:
  • Passenger may produce from any one of the original Photo Identity from Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, UID Card or any other photo identity card issued by employer/student's institution.
  • If the passenger fails to produce the print out of E-ticket and the specified Photo Identity Proof in original during the journey, the ticket will be treated as INVALID and the passenger will be treated as "Traveling without Ticket". Photocopy of Identity proof is not allowed.
  • In addition to journey fare, reservation charge, IT charge, H.R. Charges, Accidental Surcharge, Toll Tax, Octrai and any other charges applicable time to time will also be included in total fare for e-ticket.
  • In case of cancellation of e-ticket, the rules for cancellation of e-ticket, cancellation charges, refundable amount etc would be applicable at the time of cancellation. Service originating place, time of departure and destination place will be notified on e-ticket.
  • Cancellation charges would be calculated only on the base fare of e-ticket, while Human Resource Charges, Accidental Surcharge, Toll Tax and Octrai (If applied) would be refunded completely.
  • Seat reservation booking facility will be close before half an hour on proposed journey date and schedule departure time of bus service from bus origin point or up to the time of printing of reservation chart, whichever is earlier.
  • RSRTC reserves the rights to change/cancel the bus service mentioned in the e-ticket. Due to cancellation of bus services, the passenger will not be compensating by RSRTC in any condition.
Cancellation Policy:
Refund will be calculated from STU Basic Fare. Other charges/levies are non-refundable.

Need to carry Bus India e ticket with PNR no. and Photo Id of any one passenger is compulsory.
Bus India E-ticket needs to be submitted at HOHO centre - and a HOHO boarding Ticket will be issued for travel which needs to be carried till the end of the journey.

Reservation Rules:
  • e-Ticket and Mobile Ticket Passengers must carry a Printed ticket at the time of journey
  • If the passenger is traveling with 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket', he will have to produce the Original Identity Card mentioned in the 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket ' along with printed E-ticket copy at the time of journey.
  • The Corporation is free to cancel/postpone any service at short notice without assigning any reason.
  • The journey of the Passenger and the luggage shall be undertaken at the risk and responsibility of the Passenger.
  • Due to the typical geographical conditions and security reasons in J&K state, there may be cancellation of services at a short notice.

  • Duration of Journey between Srinagar and Jammu and Vice Versa 12 hours approximately subject to normal condition. Journey time may exceed due to road blocks or security reasons.
  • The reserved Journey tickets are not transferable and can not be preponed or postponed.
  • "In case of any service is cancelled by JKSRTC due to unavoidable circumstances and no alternate service is operated in place of the Cancelled services, then the passengers reserved in that particular service can get the refund by sending a refund claim mail to the Email id along with E-ticket copy to helpdesk@busindia.com and refund applicable will be made to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account only. For the service cancel case, full paid amount will be refunded.
  • Users are advised to print e-Ticket / Mobile Tickets immediately after booking so as to minimize inconvenience during instances of temporary withdrawal of e-booking due to high traffic on website. The e-Ticket / Mobile Tickets will also be emailed to the email address provided by the user at the time of the booking.
  • In respect of refunds due to ticket not booked but amount debited to passenger's account, passengers are required to send refund request mail along with EMAIL ID/USER ID and Reference no. of the transaction. JKSRTC will verify the details and refund the amount to the concerned Credit card / Internet banking account within 7 bank working days from the date of booking except Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the coach.

APSRTC Terms & conditions:
  • Cancellation of e-tickets is only allowed one hour before the schedule start time at origin of the Service.
  • During journey, with "e-Ticket", passenger has to possess the Original Identity Card mentioned in the "e-Ticket".
  • The on-duty Conductor (or Driver-cum-Conductor) will verify the Identity Card of the passenger mentioned in the e-Ticket during the journey. If the passenger fails to produce the specified Identity Proof in original during the journey, the ticket will be treated as INVALID and the passenger will be treated as "Travelling without Ticket". Photocopies of Identity proof are not allowed.
  • Partial cancellation is allowed only once, for which cancellation terms & conditions will apply. Partial cancellation is allowed in round-trip tickets provided the same number and type (Adult/child) are cancelled in both UP & DOWN Journeys.
  • If service is cancelled by APSRTC for any reason, customer can cancel the ticket within 15 days from the date of journey to get full refund and Payment Gateway Service charges, Reservation fee, service charges and levies (except GST, amenities) are not refundable and will not be refunded for service cancellation of APSRTC services.
  • Cancellation is not allowed after 15 days from the date of journey.

Reservation Fee:
  • Advance reservation fee of Rs.20/- per seat is charged for passengers booking seats in advance.
  • Passenger Cess @ Rs. 2/- in DELUX, EXPRESS and Rs. 3/- on other services will be collected per passenger.
  • Rs. 15/- will be collected per passenger for all AC Services (except Vennela) towards Passenger Amenities (disposable seat cover, air freshener, wet napkin) provided.
  • Reservation Fee is non-refundable except in case of 100 % cancellation of tickets, if the service is cancelled by APSRTC for operational or any other reasons.
  • Passenger PIS_TAX @ Re. 1/- will be collected per passenger.
  • The cancellation for e-ticket and refund rules slab wise (excluding the reservation fee, which is non refundable) are as follows:

  • No postponement / preponement of the journey is allowed in e-ticketing.
  • Maximum of six seats can be booked on a single ticket.
